Masked

A porcelain smile, eyes of night, Behind a mask, in pale moonlight. She glides on silent, unseen feet, A melody, both sour and sweet.

Her touch, a frost, a chilling breath, Whispering secrets, close to death. No face she shows, no name she’ll claim, Just empty sockets, burning flame.

She offers gifts, of twisted twine, And promises, that aren’t quite mine. So turn away, and run with haste, Lest you become, another face, Behind a mask, in endless night, Lost to her, and fading light.

Lasse Örling is a digital illustrator and photographer from Finland, Salo who specializes in digital art and black & white abstract, creative and experimental photography.

”I create a transition from a real object into a surreal atmosphere, which can also be understood as an homage to transience.

Prevalent themes in my works are greatly varied: sometimes my works display mystic chaos, raw emotion and noir atmosphere, sometimes they are luminously ethereal and gestural. As photographer I consider myself to be a witness of time.

I use often different photographic layers and digital programs to manipulate photographs to tell my story.”
