Clowns

Big floppy shoes, a crimson tear, A smile too wide, a hidden leer. Balloons like eyeballs, float and leer, Filled not with air, but childhood fear.

Candy they offer, laced with lies, Hypnotic laughter in their eyes. The funhouse mirror twists and bends, Where joy departs and madness transcends.

Don’t trust the painted, manic grin, These clowns are here to let chaos win. So run, my friend, before it’s too late, From the laughter echoing, filled with hate.

So beware, if you go there, For you may never come back, I fear.

Lasse Örling is a digital illustrator and photographer from Finland, Salo who specializes in digital art and black & white abstract, creative and experimental photography.

”I create a transition from a real object into a surreal atmosphere, which can also be understood as an homage to transience.

Prevalent themes in my works are greatly varied: sometimes my works display mystic chaos, raw emotion and noir atmosphere, sometimes they are luminously ethereal and gestural. As photographer I consider myself to be a witness of time.

I use often different photographic layers and digital programs to manipulate photographs to tell my story.”
